A UWA research team are currently leading a research project titled “Farm to Port: An optimisation model to navigate heterogeneous agent interactions in agri-food supply chains”.

The survey is necessary for the team to collect data to be able to better understand the experiences and challenges faced by grain growers in their day-to-day operations.

Here’s why this research is important:

  1. Improved Decision-Making: The outcome, a Decision Support System (DSS), will aid in strategic planning and post-harvest decisions.
  2. Efficient Resource Use: The system is designed to streamline resource allocation, minimise costs, and enhance profitability.
  3. Development of Best Practices: Be part of a community shaping sustainable, superior agricultural practices.
  4. WA-specific Insights: Our model is designed for Western Australia’s grain crops, providing unique predictions.

The survey includes questions about current agricultural activities, infrastructure and logistics challenges, and scenario-based inquiries to understand growers’ preferences in contract selection for crop transport. By participating, you’ll play a crucial role in pioneering intelligent, sustainable agriculture decisions.
